Thoughts on the new hopup changes in February ?

To be honest I can see some nice pros from it but I also see a lot of cons as well. On point one, yes some people may feel safer buying with the hopup purchase protection but it still doesn’t get rid of the chance of a scam entirely. I like the purchase protection however because it’s like a insurance for the most part. The Instant checkout is nice and convenient however it makes it more difficult and more of a hassle if your going to negotiate on price at all. To bring up what they said about it, yes I probably wouldn’t buy from Amazon if I had to wait on the seller to respond however I’m not going to Amazon to buy pre owned things if people don’t want to wait for a seller go buy it brand new from a website like Amazon etc. Now onto part 2. Yes there are going to be less fraudulent claims however there still will be ones made regardless. The one part that I actually think is really nice is having people that actually have some clue towards airsoft products to help with claims so it’s not a burden dealing with someone who doesn’t know anything on the topic. Part 3 only has one bad part in my opinion and that’s the automated payouts. I could be wrong but if it is like what I think it’ll basically be like you sell stuff on your page and after a week, two weeks etc you get one payout from your account. Like I said I could be wrong and misunderstanding it but if that’s the case I use this app to sell stuff on the side. It’s not my full time job. I don’t want to wait for a pay check weekly or bi weekly etc if that’s the case when I’m selling my own items. That could also screw people over that get put into a financial jam and decide to sell some stuff quickly because they need the money soon. Besides that part the rating and shipping discounts are a nice plus. In my opinion I thinks it’s pretty wrong of the hopup team to make such a huge decision on big changes without bringing up the idea in a q&a or poll with the community that keeps the app alive. One of my main issues with it is the fact that they are going to delete everyone’s posts that aren’t posted through hopup payment system when the change goes into effect. We should still have a choice because the entire change is going to have a drastic impact on the price of items for sale by people because as of last time I looked the hopup payment system fee is drastically higher than PayPal’s. So if you make it to where everyone needs to go through hopup system people are going to mark up the prices of what their selling in order to get the amounts they want since hopup takes so much compared to PayPal. If anyone from hopup reads this sorry if I miss understood any of your points etc and don’t mean to be rude by this post however I really think you should reconsider these changes because if they go into effect I would be surprised if you just have a ton of posts that say in the description “DONT BUY THROUGH HOPUP PAYPAL ONLY” or even maybe other airsoft buy sell trade apps that aren’t as restricting to the sellers popping up. Idk just food for thought.
