My VFC Block 2 Mk18 Avalon (“N LUV ❤️” series)
You guys could say I’m “n luv” with this series. Ive seen some absolutely AMAZING entries, so I figured I’d like to add my second one!
This post is covering/showing off my (second) all time favorite gun, my awesome VFC Avalon Block 2 Mk18 AEG!!
For some context, I run a 2014 transitional era 75th US Ranger kit, and after having the SCAR as my main for so many years, I decided to look at some of the other guns that the Rangers use. The most popular in the 2014 era seemed to be the block 2 with a Daniel Defense rail, so I got that!
This gun has been completely kitted out externally, but I’ll get into that later, internally its been completely redone. I’ve outfitted it with a bew compression system, gears, and a Perun v2 optical. I didnt change the motor because Avalon motors are pretty good stock motors, and I’m not running any crazy specs so it works for what it is.
Externally, this thing is awesome. The whole thing is made from aluminum, but has weight for it. Of course, its a VFC, what else do I have to say about its build quality. Second to none. You might’ve seen it has Colt trademarks, good eye! I spent years tracking down an original VFC colt lower, and finally found one on here! I love it, and the gun is now finally complete.
Here is everything I’ve added externally to it:
- Optic: EG Elcan Specter 1-4x
- Grip: Real Tango Down Vert grip in tan, (insight pressure switch version)
- Pressure Switch: Real Insight dual pressure switch
- PEQ: SOMOGEAR PEQ (potted) in tan
- Torch: Replica Insight M3x
- Lower Receiver: Colt Marked VFC
- Stock: Real steel LE ar15 stock
- Sling: Viking Tactics 2 point sling
Thanks for looking at the post, I had so much fun sharing! I’d appreciate your upvote, or comment/question!!!
