finally. after about a month and a half of gathering all of the parts… it is done (i know the grub screws on the collar are off in pic3, i did that) i don’t have much to say about this thing as it still needs to go through the break in period. seems like it will be doing fine someday though. ‼️story: i’ve been wanting a daytona gun for probably over a year now. i asked for the ak kit for my birthday this year and got it! shoutout to all the family who helped chip in to make this dream a reality. i myself bought the gun. it originally had an f2, RA gearbox, gorilla fcu, a nice hop, etc. and with all the zenitco parts too! i got it for a pretty good deal at $700. im gettin rid of the f2 and stuff. so a zenitco lct ak body for like ~$200?! yup. i’m a speedsofter so having this build is kinda wild for me lol. like it’s the heaviest gun i’ve ever owned hands down. ofc i had to throw on the supreme bands and get my peq box on the build. can’t wait to show the milsimers my build lol. gonna blow their socks off hopefully. ‼️daytona kit: installing this thing was a bit… interesting. there’s only 1 install video on youtube- and it’s 7 years old and in french. it was actually helpful but the daytona parts have changed over time. so not everything was the same as in the vid. i had to dremel out about 6-7 areas on the gun (some small, some large) so get the kit seated properly. shoutout to the guys in the “daytona systems” channel of the gbbr heavy recoil club discord server. they helped me along the way. as far as mods go, the only thing i’ve done is added the amped igl to the system. i did have to cut the grip piece quite a bit to seat internal parts correctly. i thought the trigger pull would be super heavy but it’s not terrible. sad part: i gotta take the whole thing apart and put loctite on all the screws 😭😭😭
