Hey, HopUp team here. We wanted to make this post to continue any conversation and explain more about our latest announcement regarding HopUp Payments. We have some FAQs to share and more detailed info. A few clarifications and additions to last week’s announcement: - It’s free to list unlimited items for sale. You only pay a flat fee of 10% when your item sells. If your item never sells you never pay a fee. - Unlike Paypal/eBay, we don’t make you pay fees if your sale (as a seller or buyer) gets cancelled and refunded for any reason. - We also eat the cost and handle the case for you if a buyer fraudulently disputes an order with their bank. - The selling fee (flat 10%) is lower than the next best marketplace option, eBay (12.9%+) and we don’t have ambiguous rules surrounding the sale of airsoft goods. - You’re not required to ship through us, but we have mega shipping discounts if you would like to. Quick FAQs: Q: Are my vouchers being deleted? A: No. Your hard-earned vouchers are not going anywhere. Q: How is my deposit info stored? A: Bank info and payment methods are NOT stored in any of our servers/databases. Sensitive info never even touches our server. Stripe handles all of this and is fully PCI compliant. If you don't know Stripe, they have most likely processed your payment if you have ever bought anything online. Trusted by Google, Amazon, Shopify, Nasdaq, etc etc. Q: Is Premium required to buy or sell? A: No. Premium is helpful if you want to bump your items to the top of the main feed and skip the wait line to list an item.
