If someone asks for your cash app and your email, ask why. If they say something along the lines of “it’s a business transaction”, block and ignore them. Common scam on this app. Also watch out for those guys who ask for your Venmo or PayPal, then say their card got compromised when they went to send you the payment, and then say that they need to send you a digital check. I’ve noticed it’s always the 2024 accounts that seem too eager to pay you and NEVER provide an address to ship to. It may seem obvious to you that this is a scam, but I’ve personally observed that there are parents who are clueless about technology who are trying to sell their kids old airsoft collection on this app. Not to mention the occasional older person like me.
