EVIKE Weapons Cache Cards; what we know so far
This is meant to help put into perspective what their possible value is moving forward and what we know concretely up till this point(written oct 19th 2021/one day before the end of the 20th anniversary event timeline)
Interestingly the top prizes and ONLY prizes up till this point have been the 4 seperate store winners who all had royal flushes(10-Ace, same suit). The prizes were 2,500 dollar shopping sprees. Times 4 equals 10 grand…hmmm… the value evike listed the “unbuyable” pack of 52 complete deck of cards at was 10 grand. Now it should be noted that at every store there were multiple royal flush holders/winners. In each case for tiebreakers they all drew cards and the highest won. The others got NOTHING. At the Alhambra store the winner decided to share his $2,500 w the other royal flush holder 50/50. It wasn’t agreed upon before they drew cards for the tiebreaker. He just decided in his heart it was the right thing to do. I’m not 100% sure about the other stores but I’m pretty sure the winners of the tiebreakers were the winners. No sharezies. I know Alhambra had 2 royal flush holders. I know another store had 3. I’m not sure about the last 2 stores. There were at least 2 royal flushes for each store but if it was more than that, like 3 or 4 , I’m not certain. But we do know there were no second place awards and just as many players if not more who won it all w royal flushes ended up going home w nothing. I’m starting to get a little hateful on evike soI’ll tone it down a bit because ultimately it was free, they didn’t have to do it and the rewards were rich. I just think it would’ve been cooler if the wealth was spread a little bit more like maybe top 3 and maybe some imagination beyond basic poker, like whoever has the most m4’s wins this prize, whoever has the most pistols wins some badass pistol, etc etc
Take this next statement w a grain of salt. I’m not 100% on why it was changed but I do know that it was changed. That is the online part of the contest. An online contest was supposed to happen and was “supposedly “ cancelled because of concerns over players possibly using editing technology to portray a set of cards that they may not really have. The online contest may just be pushed into the future until they can figure out a failsafe foundation of fairness for all or it might be canceled outright. No concrete info on this as of yet.
The only thing we know moving forward is that they still hold value. We just don’t know how much value that is and what forms it may take. And history has shown so far that the best possible hand a player can have has guaranteed a less than 50% chance of winning so keep that in mind when buying and selling these cards.
*a couple of the store winners clarify things even further so check out the message thread.
