Proof that many Airsofters are on the spectrum
In my time of playing Airsoft so many people I meet are awkward and socially inept. I would say 40-50% of the people I have met have little to no social skills and are living out some call of duty fantasy.
As I search this app, Ebay, etc. For used Airsoft parts and guns this becomes even more apparent that many in the Airsoft community are on the Autism spectrum. I constantly see people attempting to sell their used equipment at 90-120% of the value they purchased it at.
As if taking a stock gun and buying “typically external” upgrades parts and “fielding it only 3 times” warrants the weapon being worth whatever they paid for it, or more.
If you sell your equipment and read this, please, please, please, understand that your combat machine you paid $260 for with your Amazon foregrip, red dot, and Dummy PEQ box, don’t make your Airsoft gun worth $350. No one will ever pay that and that is why it’s been on hop up for 567 days.
And if you’re thinking that this is from a real specific scenario, no it’s a generalization that I have seen 1k times and you’re probably the guy who has done this in the past.
Understand depreciation and understand no one is going to buy your used equipment for even 80-70 of the retail price because we know how much these guns breakdown and we can just go buy it new with a warranty.
Thank you!
