My recent experience with Evike Outpost Dallas and their mangers
First off let me start by saying I have been a regular at this store since it opened. I’ve known most of the employees and have been buddies with a few because of my amount of going to said store. But as of recent, I’ve had more problems with them. Their manager, Johnathan, has been very rude and short with me. About 2 weeks ago I purchased one of my favorite guns (stoner 96) by recommendation of my buddy. Halfway thru my first game with it, the tappet plate snapped. I took it the next day to Evike Outpost Dallas to have it “repaired” by them. This however would be a huge mistake. It would take them about a week to get through their five other customers (understandable) and then to me. They are supposed to receive a text when your item is fixed, however, they have never ended up doing that in the past so I just show up ask, and then browse. They usually are cool about this, Johnathan however would get very upset at me for asking, and would say that it would be ready “in a day or two” I was not satisfied with that awnser however because I have a swap meet coming up in 3 days (tomorrow as of post) and I wanted to have it there. I told him I would take it back to just do the repair myself as they would obviously not get it done in time. He responds by saying that it is “in repair” on a techs desk. I say alright and I’ll come by tomorrow (today of post) to receive and if not done I will just take in parts and fix myself. He seems okay with that. Today (day of post) he instantly starts when I enter by saying it is not done. (Lie) I then wait to talk to him since store is busy. He makes me wait 30 mins before saying he will help me next. He then takes 30 more minutes helping other customers and fixing a pistol in front of me. He then goes to help me by going to the back, pulling out a box, handing it to me, and saying some formality. I then ask if the gun is repaired, to him replying that he doesn’t know. I say ok and take it home. Once I get home, I decide to take it apart to put an hpa engine in it as I finally got a BDI Phoenix. I then realize that screws for the gun have been stripped to the point of having to be drilled out. I then decide to call their phone number and Jonathan Awnsers the phone. I tell him about what happened and he replies with okay I will speak to my team about it then hangs up on me while I am asking a question. I decide to call one more time and he does not accept the phone call. I call back 10 minutes later and he awnsers. I tell him that I wasn’t done talking and he goes on about something I did not understand due to him being more aggressive about it. I finally decide it’s a lost cause and hang up.
Honestly. If you are near the evike outpost dallas. I would not recommend their warranty or speaking to anyone besides Christian. He is honestly great.
Thank you for listening to my rant. I’m deciding if I should speak to his maneger about it or if it is unneeded
