Anyone ever receive their giveaway prize from Allison Irvin?
For those who were around, you may remember that last year around this exact time Allison Irvin (Allen Airsoft) did a few free giveaways here in the community section as their business was allegedly booming.
Seemed pretty cool, and it got a lot of attention and praise. Who doesn’t like it when businesses give back to the community?
Anyway, I was to my surprise announced a winner of a Tokyo Marui PSG-1, as with a few other app users I believe in late September/early October (I can’t find the posts).
A week after the announcement I reached out to Allison and eventually got them my shipping info. Soon November then came and went and I’d reached out for another possible update. I was finally responded to in JANUARY that I wasn’t forgotten about and that shipping was very slow at the moment from Japan and they had already placed the order for the gun. I said no worries and pretty soon forgot about it once again. At the end of May this year I messaged them and to this day have not been responded to.
This brings me to my question and reason for this post. Did anyone ever receive their prize they “won” from Allison?
Let me be clear, I am by NO means butt hurt or mad that I didn’t get “my” PSG-1. I can live without it. My problem is that giveaways also act as positive publicity for the company and for them to receive that with unfulfilled promises of giveaway prizes doesn’t sit well with me, though obviously it’s not technically illegal for them to do so on here.
Just feel the need for accountability on this. They aren’t just a HopUp business, they have a legit website with their own products and services.
