SITUATION -
Elbert, Colorado - July 31, 2023
In a daring move last year, the United Federal States (UFS) extended a helping hand to the Civilian Defense Force (CDF), by engaging in mining operations to fund their ongoing war effort. The UFS aimed to help CDF collect enough raw materials from the region to sustain their goals locally. However, the effort proved only partially successful as the overwhelming force of the Coalition thwarted their ambitions.
With the Coalition seizing complete control of all mining sites in Elbert, Colorado, the UFS was compelled to shift its focus westward, desperate to stifle the Coalition's resource gathering. The motive behind this move was clear - preventing the Coalition from gaining an insurmountable advantage in the area, which could lead to permanent control over the region.
The whereabouts of the CDF remain shrouded in mystery, as most of their organized forces were dismantled and relocated out of the area.
Latest satellite intelligence received by the UFS indicates an alarming level of Coalition movement in the area. Reports suggest that a massive convoy, accompanied by drilling equipment, is en route to further bolster the Coalition's mining operations. The situation has escalated tensions in the region as the UFS scrambles to counter this advancement.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, heavy fighting is also reported in other areas. New Mexico and Wisconsin are currently embroiled in fierce battles, drawing away crucial resources and attention from Elbert, Colorado.
The UFS remains determined to prevent the Coalition's complete dominance in the region. The outcome of this battle will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for both factions involved and could shape the course of the war.
As the situation unfolds, the local civilian populace in Elbert, Colorado, remains anxious about the uncertain future that hangs in the balance. Will the UFS succeed in stunting the Coalition's operations, or will Cost's relentless pursuit of resources lead to an unstoppable force in the area?
