KILLEEN, Texas – Shifting dynamics in the ongoing conflict are once again drawing attention to Central Texas. Recent reports indicate that the Coalition of Sovereign Territories (COST) may be abandoning its hold over Killeen, at least for the time being. Civilians in the region have described waves of military vehicles moving west along I-10 over the past several weeks, while United Federal States (UFS) sources on the ground have confirmed the evacuation of key buildings and airports.
This large-scale pullback aligns with leaked intelligence pointing to a massive troop buildup by COST along the western border, fueling speculation of a potential California incursion. While the motivations behind COST’s withdrawal remain unclear, UFS has wasted no time in responding. In recent days, UFS forces have been rapidly redeployed back into Texas, signaling preparation for renewed operations should the situation escalate.
Adding to the uncertainty, Sierra Dynamics (SD) has re-emerged as a major player in the region. Once seen as a shadowy presence operating on the margins of the conflict, SD is now showing signs of a more direct and ambitious agenda. Intelligence gathered this year suggests that SD is seeking to assert complete control over Texas, operating independently and without collaboration from either the Civilian Defense Forces (CDF) or COST.
This independent maneuvering raises new questions about SD’s ultimate objectives in the area. While the group has not launched significant operations yet, its growing influence and refusal to partner with other factions could significantly reshape the balance of power in Texas.
For UFS, the challenge is clear: the battle for Texas is no longer just about COST. With SD moving aggressively to carve out its own stake in the region, the conflict has entered a new and uncertain chapter.
