Ares gearbox programmer is easy to use, plug one end into the battery wire of your AEG, select the battery you see going to use with the AEG and (11.1 or 7.4 lipo) and then plug that battery into the end of the programmer. Choose beteeen full spit and burst modes etc and press button, listen for BEEP. Simple as that.
