It is frontwired (easily fits a 7.4v lipo in the handguard but I used to run 9.6v nunchuck batteries), and has a sturdy polymer body. I've changed out the stock and front handguards to a more old-school M4A1 layout with smooth clamshell handguard, vertical foregrip, and LE stock.
